Arrow Anchor in the Vineyard Trains plantings to wire with just string! Bury Arrow Anchor at least 200mm (8"), works best at 300mm (1') and deeper

Arrow Anchor in the Orchard Re-usable tree training! Enough pulling power for several laterals on one arrow (needs maximum depth though!)

* Remove Applicator from cardboard tube. Check contents for 1 plus 1 spare cotter (split) pin.

* Slide footplate up shaft of applicator to above (usually) top pre-drilled hole.

* Insert cotter (split) pin through hole and bend ends over with screw driver or pliers so footplate rests on pin.

* Applicator is now ready for use.

* As ARROW ANCHOR works best at depth of at least 200 - 300mm + (8" - 12"), use top retainer for cotter pin. Rod may be drilled to give greater or different preferred pre-set depth.

* Applicator is supplied with choice of pre-set depth up to user discretion, but foot-plate may be tack-welded to rod for permanent setting. Some trialling may be needed to determine optimum depth. Sandy/soft soils need greater depth.

* Several smaller laterals may be tied off to one ARROW if mainly light wind conditions allow

* Full holding is developed as soil re-compacts, typically in 3 - 4 days, but holding up to this time is still impressive!

Hints for using ARROW GROUND ANCHOR:

* Pass twine through top of ARROW clip and tie off or pull through as double string thickness travel.

* Place ARROW in end of applicator rod as above allowing string to pass through slot in end of applicator.

* Place applicator vertically in desired position and, holding string alongside applicator, use one smooth stroke with foot on foot-plate to press applicator into ground. Foot-plate will stop applicator at pre-set depth.

* Remove applicator from ground.

May also be used as anchor to wire trainer on KIWIFRUIT and GRAPES

May be used with fine WIRE instead of string
