THE RECORDS HAVE BEEN BROKEN -
Twelve at one meet - and the experts say why. Don Talbot, Australian head coach was quoted in The Australian and The Star as crediting the new Anti Wave racing lanes. All reports name the Anti Wave racing lanes and the starting blocks, also by Anti Wave, as key
factors.

Jamie Barkley, the pool manager confirmed that the pool was built and equipped for speed. Anti Wave is proud to have equipped this premium pool.

Sydney 2000 for result freaks and gossip fans..  5 World Records in 4 events on the first day

Some of that is down to the Anti Wave technology being used in the pool - the Australia coach seems to think so! More on the tech involved-->

Swim Technology Patented

Anti Wave of Australia applied for a patent on 14th September 2000 for revolutionary fast pool features as developed for Sydney International Aquatic Centre.

The patented technology includes turbulence calming racing lanes, state of the art starting blocks (creating new starting techniques), hydraulic pool overflow, and innovative designs reducing 'drag' from pool floor and walls.

Six years and a couple of million dollars later much of this technology was proven in August 1999 at the Pan Pacific Championships at Sydney International Aquatic Centre 50 m pool with an historic 12 world records.

Australian coach Don Talbot put the rash of world records down to the new technology. Talbot said, "'Improved lane ropes have helped kill off swimmers'  backwash and led to millpond conditions in each lane, enabling swimmers to clock faster times, even world records."

The Anti commitment to FINA Aquatic sports began with Munich in 1972 and continues with Sydney 2000 and beyond.

Thanks for your interest in the finest swimming pool equipment available today!

Our products are warrantied for one year provided water balance is correct, true pH is 7.2 - 7.6  and CH is > 200.

Calcium hardness is important in protecting pool equipment. If pool water does not contain enough hardness, or minerals, the water pulls the minerals it needs out of plaster/grout/cement/paint/metals etc on pool walls or the metal on pool parts such as pumps, filters and ladders. If pool water contains too many minerals it can deposit them onto pool surfaces, causing staining (scaling). Proper alkalinity levels prevent this. Since it is easier to control alkalinity levels than mineral levels, the best balancing practice is to assure a minimum level of 200 ppm calcium hardness, then adjust alkalinity levels to balance any excess.
