| We
have moved! In continued efforts to streamline production and improve customer service we have moved the complete Anti Wave operation into one new building. Located in Gracefield in the Seaview industrial area of Lower Hutt, we are within metres of heavy engineering, transport and other logistic assets. Along with our building and facilities, we have taken the opportunity to upgrade our web, email and fax systems. As well as a new coffee machine, a nice, shiny new phone system went live on 18th October '06 to better our response to phone enquires too. At the southern end of Gracefield Road near the Seaview Road intersection, come and see us at number 228! |
| After a world-wide
search for the best performance sports equipment available, the Chinese
Government has selected Anti Wave equipment and hardware for the new
100,000 Sq M "Water
Cube Complex". Currently under construction for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, the complex will be the largest aquatic sports facility in the world and will look spectacular. See a Flash video of the facility here and a general description here and here. Regularly updated stills of the construction project are posted here. Construction started in 2003 and is hoped to be completed in October 2007 in time for shakedown competitions before the 2008 Games. Talking of China, Anti Wave supplied the core design for the new Wendu Water City - Beijings' largest aquatic centre. Now open, the Wendu features a 50 metre pool with one of its 'long sides' opening into the world's longest ever wave machine, while the other flows onto an open 'beach'. Anti Wave supplied Bulkheads, raisable show floor and a range of other equipment. Anti Wave donates to Water Polo in Mongolia Anti Wave has donated a set of Water Polo equipment to the national Water Polo Training Centre in the city of Ulan Bator. | RATE CONTRIBUTION TO NZ WATER WONDERLAND |
| Hastings Fantasyland has
been reinvented with the opening of the water park Splash
Planet. Featuring multiple water slides, a continuous river
ride,
three outdoor activity pools and an outdoor ice rink, the $6.2 million
complex was developed by
the Hastings Tourism Facilities Trust. Familiar Fantasyland favourites
such Mother Hubbard's Shoe, the Pumpkin, the Windmill, the Round-About,
the Fantasyland train and the Tiny Town Village have been retained.
Dry activities include racing cars, mini golf, miniature jeeps
and beach
volleyball. The ice skating rink, hot pools and spa area planned
should boost colder season usage of the complex.
It is believed the water park will spark renewed interest in Hawkes Bay
as a visitor destination.

Fantasyland was conceived in 1962 as a version
of its Disney namesake
in the United States. Splash Planet was designed by intenational
theme designer Logan Brewer, with the main contractor Alexander
Construction,
engineers Loughnan Hall & Thompson, and project managers RDT
Pacific. Anti
Wave NZ supplied 380 m of wetdeck grating to the redevelopment

WHAT'S
IN A NAME?
A very great deal, according to our latest review. Anti Wave has just completed a marketing study in which we changed the name of one product - our famous Fina lane. For the study we called the Fina lane the Ulti lane. Now the results are in from around the world, and the call is clear - keep the traditional names but tell us the size of the lanes as well! So now we have three ranges of lanes: Mini 70 which has a diameter of 70 mm Fina 110 has a diameter of 110 mm Maxi 150 has
a diameter of 150 mm
